In celebration of Black History Month, Pro Beauty Central held an inaugural roundtable discussion uplifting the Black voices in our Beauty Community to cover ground on business building, trends, product faves as well as recognizing the successes of our Black beauty pros and educators.
Hosted by SalonCentric Lead Beauty Guru Sierra Brown, the roundtable featured Tippi Shorter Rank, MIZANI Global Artistic Director and Co-Founder The Texpert Collective; Michelle O’Connor, Matrix Artistic Director and 5-Time North American Hairdressing Awards (NAHA) Winner; John Mosley, Celebrity Barber and CEO of Popular Nobody; Charles King, V.P. Of BRONNER BROS. Professional Products; Mimi D, Celebrity Manicurist; and Marquetta Breslin, Licensed Cosmetologist, Master Wigmaker, Author and Speaker.
Each of the roundtable participants are at the top of their game, and respected members of the beauty community at-large. But they’re also inspirational examples of success in the beauty industry which the Black community can proudly claim as one of their own. With the Black community being an important part of our country’s history, present and future, this event was especially crucial in SalonCentric’s commitment to build a truly diverse and inclusive SalonCentric, to support and uplift all social backgrounds, religions, genders, ages and disabilities so that every member of our team and our Beauty Community feels included, and can thrive and grow.
