Look #1: Uptown Bronde

Sean Godard used Redken's Color Gels Oils Uptown Bronde collection on a natural level 7 with 10% grays to achieve this sophisticated bronde shade.

Zone 1 Formula:

Reverse Balayage Formula:

  • 1 oz. Redken Color Gels Oils 9N
  • 1/2 oz. Redken Color Gels Oils 9NCh
  • 1/2 oz. Redken Color Gels Oils Clear
  • 2 oz. Redken 10-Vol. Pro-oxide Cream Developer

Global Glaze Formula:

Pro Tip: Gray is naturally lacking depth, which is why some colors can look hollow. Adding more nuanced shades, like Color Gels Oils Mochas, to your formula will allow you to put background and tone back into the hair without it looking overly warm.

Look #2: Desert Honey Bronde

Colorist Bianca Hillier crafted this multi-dimensional look using her signature V-pattern technique.

New Growth and Highlight Formula:

Tips Highlight Formula:

  • Maria Nila Bleach 20-Volume

Root Toner:

Mids Toner:

  • Redken Shades EQ 9T

Tips Toner:

  • Redken Shades EQ 1/2 10T + 1/2 10NW

Pro Tip: "Given this client’s starting color, I mixed a stronger formula to lighten her black new growth and a weaker formula for the ends so that the previously bleached hair does not break," says Hillier.

"I worked my way up the head in horseshoe sections to allow for a ribboning flow as I continue to paint V-patterns on every section moving from nape to the crown. Between each section is the CelluCotton 44041 to ensure there are no bleed marks on the underside of each subdivision. The hairline is the last highlighted portion to prevent damage to the finer strands."
