Begin all color and lightening applications with diminishing any minerals in the hair by spraying Purify & Revive PRIME Demineralizing Spray generously, then combing through and allowing it to sit for three minutes while you mix. No rinsing or shampoo required.

Step-By-Step:

Step 1: Section the hair by creating a snowflake section in the crown of the head. Your sections should vary in width, from shallow in the front to deeper in the back, mimicking a snowflake.

Step 2: Taking a triangle section from the peaks of the snowflake, paint Balayage Formula 1 in a half V-shape with the larger slant going towards the face. Use a one inch paintbrush in the front for more detailed work and a two inch paintbrush in the back.

Pro Tip: When retouching a previous balayage, concentrate the application on the virgin hair of the midsection, then feather lightly to blend into the natural base and into the previously lightened ends.

Step 3: Now you are left with the valleys on the top of the head. Repeat the same half V-shape application as in Step 2 using Balayage Formula 2. Process until you achieve a Level 8/9 gold-yellow stage.

Step 4: Shampoo with TRUITY Daily Cleanse, rinse and towel-dry. Apply Silk Degrees Pre & Post Color Treatment for five minutes at the sink, rinse and dry the hair.

Step 5: Apply the Color Formula saturating the balayaged hair and blending it towards the base without applying directly on scalp. Process 30 minutes at room temperature. Shampoo lightly with TRUITY Daily Cleanse, then apply TRUITY Thermal Blow Dry Cream and style as desired.
