Maybe you’re looking to speed things up behind the chair—or maybe you want to teach your clients how to nail their blowout look between appointments. T3’s newest air styler is the solution to all of the above. Read on as Sarah shows us how to get soft, bouncy blowout curls in this step-by-step breakdown.
Step 1: Prep the hair for styling
To prep for styling, apply your preferred styling products onto damp hair and use the SoftAire® drying concentrator until the hair is 80% to 90% dry.
Step 2: Create a smooth base
If you’re working with curly or wavy hair, begin by sectioning the hair and connect the oval brush attachment. Then, work in 2- to 3-inch sections to create a smooth base.
Step 3: Add volume
Next, connect the curling attachment (left or right) to curl toward or away from the face, depending on your desired look.
Step 4: Create your first curl
Hold the ends of a 1- to 2-inch section of hair, about an inch above the curling barrel. Allow the air to grip the hair and wind it across the barrel.
Step 5: Activate the cool shot button
Hold until the section is dry, then activate the cool shot button and hold for another five to 10 seconds before releasing.
Step 6: Repeat the process
Next, continue using this same process to create the rest of your curls, tousle lightly, and your look is complete.
