Presley Poe (@presleypoe), Pravana Head Collective Artist, gave new life to this rich auburn hue by taking it to a lighter shade of peach. To create this soft pastel tone of the previous color, she put a twist on the use of Pravana’s Bye Bye Direct Dye system to get her client to the desired shade. “While both colors are beautiful, it’s important to remember that color will come out as it is put in layer by layer. While Bye Bye Direct Dye can be used to remove color almost completely, I opted to soften instead,” says Poe. Check out her step-by-step below:
- Apply Pravana Pure Light Crème Lightener and Zero Lift Developer to middle and ends for 10 minutes (I lifted the pervious color on the ends for 10 minutes or until desired tone was exposed).
- Rinse with cool water until residual Pure Light Crème Lightener is removed.
- While hair is damp (for a softer finish), apply Pravana Vivids Garnet to mid-lengths for a blend zone connecting the previous color base of Color Lush 4nb with the newly lifted ends.
